Born in 1984 in Hyogo, now based in Okinawa, Yoshiaki Imamura is best known for his handcrafted ceramic cups designed specifically for espresso. He believes that “vessels shape flavor”—from wall thickness and rim curvature to glaze texture and tactile feel, every detail influences the drinking experience.
For Imamura, kiln firing is a dialogue with the unknown: fire and clay give each piece a unique expression, while his mission is to craft the vessel that brings out the soul of coffee.
